Dr. Palagummi Sasidhar is IGCS Senior Scientist, IIT Madras. He is former Head, Environmental and Fuel Chemistry Section, Safety Research Institute, Atomic Energy Regulatory Board, Kalpakkam.

  His research areas are:

  -  Groundwater and Contaminant Transport
- Interdisciplinary approach to the disposal of wastes into the ground environment.
- Waste Treatment
- Environmental Impact Assessments and
- Application of Remote Sensing and GIS in Land-use applications & Disaster management.

 

 

Dr. Jayakumar Renganathan  just recently defended his PhD in the “Evaluation of physicochemical and microbiological parameters in the coastal waters of Chennai, Southeast coast of Chennai with an emphasis on culture independent bacterial diversity analysis”. He is the contact person in India for the next IGCS Summer School in Aachen, Germany.
